As the number of job seekers and recruiters leveraging Glassdoor to help them find jobs and recruit top candidates grows, so must our company. The Glassdoor team has grown significantly over the past few years, both in the U.S. and abroad. To help support that growth, we’re excited to announce three appointments to our executive leadership team: Chief Financial Officer Jim Cox, Chief Operating Officer Christian Sutherland-Wong and Vice President of Global Corporate Communications Samantha Zupan.
Cox joins us with over 20 years of experience overseeing finance at rapidly-growing private and publicly-traded companies, most recently as CFO at social media software company Lithium Technologies. Previously, he served as CFO of Advent Software, a publicly-traded financial software company. Cox brings with him a proven track record of success, having helped Advent double its revenue, triple its operating income and navigate its acquisition by SS&C Technologies — accomplishments that helped him secure the honor of 2015 CFO of the Year for Small- and Mid-sized Public Companies by the San Francisco Business Times. At Glassdoor, Cox will be responsible for Glassdoor’s financial operations and financial strategy to support the company’s growing global business.
Sutherland-Wong’s promotion to COO comes on the heels of over two years of service as Glassdoor’s Senior Vice President & General Manager of Monetization, where he oversaw development and operations functions across the business. As COO, Sutherland-Wong will be tasked with driving revenue and overseeing Glassdoor’s business strategy and operations. An MBA graduate of Harvard Business School, Sutherland-Wong previously worked in operations, product management and consulting roles at LinkedIn and Bain & Co.
Zupan joins the executive leadership team after several years at Glassdoor — in fact, as one of the first employees hired at Glassdoor (and the first ever dedicated to communications ), Zupan helped launched the company in 2008. As Vice President of Global Corporate Communications, she will oversee the company’s communications function, including public relations, corporate communications, economics bureau, events, editorial, content and social media.
On behalf of everyone at Glassdoor, we offer a heartfelt welcome to Cox and our congratulations to Sutherland-Wong and Zupan on their promotions. As we continue to help more recruiters and job seekers than ever, we’re confident that our newly appointed executive team members’ experience and expertise will ensure continued growth and success at scale.
