Tick tock, tech lovers. Time is running out to apply for TechCrunch Startup Battlefield Europe. We’re taking Startup Battlefield to Paris in conjunction with VivaTech on May 24th – 25. The application deadline is March 15, 9 a.m. PST, so if you want your early-stage company to participate in the world’s top start-up competition, it’s time to get serious, drop what you’re doing and apply today.
Applying to and participating in Startup Battlefield Europe won’t cost you a single euro, and TechCrunch does not take an equity cut. If TechCrunch editors select your company to compete, you’ll receive free expert pitch coaching to prepare you for the main event. Come the big day, you’ll have six minutes to pitch and demo your product to a panel of judges — in front of a live audience. Each pitch is followed by 6 minutes of Q&A with the judges.
Five finalists will go on to pitch a new panel of judges, who will then choose the winner of TechCrunch Startup Battlefield Europe. The media exposure alone is invaluable, and we also live-stream the entire competition around the world on TechCrunch.com, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter (and available later on demand).
The overall winner takes home €25,000 in no-equity cash, and they also win an all-expense paid trip for two to San Francisco where — as long as they’re still eligible — they’ll compete in the Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch’s flagship event, Disrupt SF 2018.
Every company that competes in Startup Battlefield joins our Startup Battlefield alumni community, which includes a few notables like Mint, Dropbox, Yammer, TripIt, Getaround and Cloudflare. An impressive lot by any measure, our alumni community consists of almost 750 companies that have collectively raised more than $8 billion in funding and produced more than 100 exits.
